Elderberries Social Afternoons – Brief Update

Cai and Rocklyn, pupils from St Cenydd School, were unfortunately unable to be with us at our event held on 19th April .

Instead, we had a discussion of our future programme.

Irene Burrows will be entertaining us with country and western music.  Everyone is welcome!

Hopefully it will be in the gazebo so we’ll be able to have a Covid-safe singalong and entertain the neighbourhood!

Tues 29th March

This afternoon’s session was a new experience for the Elderberries when Mary Hughes kindly gave us a chance to try needle felting.

Mary came fully prepared with the special wool & needles needed, “eggs” & even suggestions for designs.

At the end Mary awarded us 10/10 because we heeded her warning about the danger of stabbing our fingers and miraculously no-one broke a needle!

It was a lovely, relaxing activity and we could chat while “working”.  We look forward to another chance to do something in the late autumn ready for Christmas.

Specsavers - A talk on eye health

We had a really interesting talk on eye health from Ben at Specsavers yesterday.  Thank you for organising it Marjorie.  Here is the programme for the next 6 weeks.  We’re hoping to be able to use the gazebo after Easter.
